Memories

Karina was culling our photos today, the painful task of taking our million shared phone photos, and reducing it to a usable 800 for our yearly Shutterfly album.

I have the same reaction every time I look through our yearly pictures:

“Holy s*$t we do a lot of amazing things, do we ever live a gifted life!”

This sentence is a stark contrast to the family meltdowns we experience on a weekly basis stemming from the usual challenges of life, work, parenting, and a world of expanding demands.

Returning to these visual ‘memories’ is such a powerful gratitude tool that I am going to incorporate more frequently into my daily routine.

Instead of an Instagram scroll, I’m going to do a ‘camera roll’ scroll, and recognize the amazing things in my life.

  • Now that’s a peak ethos.
